Interested in volunteering?

We are extremely grateful to the huge army of volunteers that give up their time to inspire young people through the FIRST® LEGO® League programme, making it such a success. It will take about 200 volunteers to run the International Open Championship event so if you can help we would love to hear from you. Please email: fllioc@theiet.org to register your interest.  You can also view a list of the volunteer roles we are looking for here.

Volunteering makes a real difference to all those participating. It’s a great way to give back to and inspire the next generation; to be part of an incredible educational experience which reaches out to nearly half a million children around the world every year.

Join us to celebrate the achievements of young engineers from around the world, watch the excitement in the robot arena, enjoy the interactive STEM fair and experience the UK film premiere of ‘Dream Big: Engineering Our World’ sponsored by Bechtel.

Engage with budding young engineers from over 40 countries who will demonstrate their innovative robot creations, research projects, communication and teamwork skills. Find out about the creative solutions they have designed to a real world issue.

This exciting competition is being hosted for the first time ever in the UK and is part of the IET’s programme for inspiring the next generation of engineers. If you would like to get involved as a volunteer please email fllioc@theiet.org
