Traveling to the City of Bath

The City of Bath is situated in the South West of England, about 190 km west of London. It is served by good, rail, road and airport links.

Air travel

The nearest airport is Bristol International which is approximately 30 km from Bath. It has direct services to over 100 European airports with numerous connecting services to destinations all over the world via international hub airports such as Amsterdam, Brussels and Frankfurt.

In addition, Bath has good transport links to the international airports of London Heathrow (162 km) and London Gatwick (210 km).

Organising your onward journey to Bath

By bus

The A4 Air Decker bus service will take you directly from Bristol airport to Bath.

By train

You can also catch the Bristol Flyer Airport Express from the airport to Bristol Temple Meads rail station to travel to Bath by train.

There are regular connections by rail and coach from London Heathrow and London Gatwick.

Travelling between Bath City Centre and the University of Bath Campus.

Bus services between the Bath City Centre and the University of Bath are frequent (at least every 15 minutes) and take ten to 15 minutes. There is a bus stop for the university on the opposite side of the road to the bus and train stations. Buses terminate within 200 metres of the university accommodation and the Sports Training Village, where the FIRST® LEGO® League International Open Championship is being held.
