The Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference
13 - 14 November 2017 | Loughborough, UK
About LAPC 2017
On behalf of the IET and the Organising Committee we would like to invite you to participate to the 2017 Loughborough Antennas and Propagation Conference (LAPC 2017).
The conference started in 2005 as a UK national event to recognise, nurture and celebrate the research of PhD students in the field of Antennas and Propagation, but has morphed into the well-established prominent international conference. This year the conference is organised, for the first time, by the IET, but otherwise will preserve its unique character, format and atmosphere.
The format will remain single-track, and the programme will as always be centred on 12 invited talks by distinguished speakers divided into four themes.
These sessions will be interleaved with poster sessions during which we will have lively and fruitful discussions between the attendees and presenters, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere which has become the hallmark of LAPCs.
We will continue to celebrate and reward excellent research through the awards such as the IET Best Student Paper Award, the Best Non-student Paper Award and the James R. James Lifetime Achievement Award.
We will remain at our favourite venue, the Burleigh Court Hotel, which has been a truly excellent host to all the past LAPCs, providing us with a highly popular venue as demonstrated by the hundreds of delegates (many of whom are regular attendees) who return each year to this small town in the middle of the English Midlands countryside.
LAPC owes its success to a small army of dedicated and passionate people, from the steering group and organising committee to past Chairs and volunteers, but above all the many regular participants who value this conference and make its attendance worthwhile for the next generation of antennas and propagation researchers.
We are looking forward to welcoming you at LAPC 2017.

|Professor Costas Constantinou, University of Birmingham, UK|
