Battery storage in the recovery to NET ZERO CARBON!

On 30 September 2020, IET Surrey is delighted to host Paul Cole from powerQuad, who will present an overview of battery storage and how this technology is vital for a decarbonised electricity supply in the post covid-19 world.

Paul will give a summary of the need to decarbonise, and how energy storage systems and hardware have improved measurably. 

In addition the implementation of decentralised and digitised grid flexibility has seen software tools such as AI & blockchain dominating and driving the change.

Paul Cole is co-founder of powerQuad, an award winning energy storage solution for space constrained businesses looking to decarbonise. A chartered engineer and Institute of Directors member, Paul is driven by engineering innovative technology for new markets, bringing sustainable advantages to their users in this new age of low carbon living.

Paul initially trained in electronic engineering, having been in the power industry for 14 years giving him a solid background in engineering, manufacturing management and leadership. Throughout his career in engineering Paul has focused on bringing new products to market, increasing both portfolio and market share.
