As the UK turns to renewable energy in the journey to Net Zero, untapped geothermal resources have the potential to provide an abundance of low-carbon heat and electricity for homes across the country.

Cumbria’s geology could make our area a suitable place for a deep geothermal facility; but would it gain social acceptance in the county?
