Development of the Jaguar (Preston)

Anglo-French Jaguar Jet Fighter Programme

This talk gives some background to the origin of the Anglo-French Jaguar jet fighter programme back in the 1960s and 1970s and describes the changes made between first flight and it being ready to go into service with the RAF. It also includes some film of the Jaguar’s spinning trials, some of low level flying and some of a Jaguar operating from a grass runway.

Finally, it has a short clip of a Jaguar operating from the unfinished M55 motorway near Weeton.
