High performance computing, simulation and modelling at LJMU

The event will provide an overview of the various fundamental and industrial Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) and Discrete Element Modelling (DEM) simulations and studies being conducted at Liverpool John Moores University using High-Performance Computing (HPC).

It will discuss how HPC clusters can efficiently be used to speed up simulations for high-demand computational resources projects, illustrating these with current PhD student and post-doctoral research projects in diverse areas including fluid mixing, vessel air lubrication, additive manufacturing, and pulsatile flow.
