IET Engineering Conference: Our World in 2030

With 160,000 members worldwide, the IET is a professional home to inspire, inform and influence the global engineering community, supporting technology innovation to meet the needs of the society. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the IET, and we are celebrating with a series of events, including the IET@Engineering Carnival, which will take place in the HKSTP on 14 & 15 August 2021 with the aim to inspire young people to embrace engineering and technology.

The Engineering Conference is one of the events to be held during the IET@Engineering Carnival which will particularly focus on the discussions on the chosen Societal Challenges, namely Digital Futures and Sustainable Planet, announced by the IET in “IET Strategy 2030” – the plan on how we will make a difference over the next 10 years where the engineering profession and the IET can make an impact.
