2. Patricia Piccinini: We Are Connected

Piccinini works at the frontier of art, science and technology – a place where science-fiction, the surreal, feminism and environmentalism intersect. She challenges us to consider what it means to exist in a world that teems with different kinds of life – a multi-species world she has founded based on care, empathy and a naturing instinct.

Through sculpture, installation, collage and video, Piccinini urges us to reflect on the technological age we live in and to explore our relationships with other species and ecosystems.

3. MENTAL: Colours of Wellbeing

Through over 20 interactive exhibits, art projects and large-scale installations, from local and international artists as well as their research collaborators, the works displayed in the exhibition reflect a range of perspectives on mental health and ways of being. MENTAL celebrates differences and complexities. This exhibition aims to encourage curiosity in ourselves and others, and promotes a shift in how we might perceive things.

Through science, technology and creativity explore, question and feel what it means to be human in the second decade of the 21st century.
