Investigating the Sandilands tram accident (Postponed)

UPDATE: This event has been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. New date TBC, possibly July. 

Andrew Hall will explain the role and workings of the Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB), the UK’s independent accident investigator for railways and tramways.

The talk will then consider the tragic tram accident in November 2016 at Sandilands Junction, Croydon, to illustrate the range of work the Branch undertakes in order to understand the causes of accidents and to learn safety lessons from them.

This event is joint with the IET and ICE.
