IET Manufacturing Student and Early Careers Call for Abstracts

Background

What benefits would manufacturing in space bring to society. What challenges will need to be overcome to realise these benefits and what technologies are key to achieve this. 

Those looking to take part should provide an abstract relating to the above topic. 

Prize

Abstracts will be reviewed, and the winning entry offered the opportunity to present a webinar based on your abstract.

The single best abstract will also win a prize of £150.

Open to

  • Undergraduates; 
  • Postgraduates;
  • Those who have recently embarked on an engineering career within the last 3 years subject to proof via CV)

This entry is for individuals and not teams and is for UK entries only

How to enter

Please submit a written abstract outlining the scope and aim of your presentation. Your abstract should be no more than 500 words.  Email to lcallaghan@theiet.org.

Please include title, all authors and other contributors and a synopsis. 

Abstracts and papers should be on a subject related to the topic.  To make it even easier, it is perfectly acceptable to use your final year project presentation, a presentation from your graduate scheme or any other presentation which you already have. 

The topic should be appropriate to the intended audience of students and young professionals. 

The topic does not have to be new or unique, but something that you have been working on.
