This presentation will discuss the challenges, the latest advancements in edge computing hardware, and the future outlook for sustainable edge computing, highlighting the environmental and economic advantages this technology can provide.

Speaker

Roshan Weerasekera is a Senior Lecturer in Microelectronics at the University of Bristol. His research is focused on the alternative and sustainable technologies for sensing and computing applications exploiting novel devices (bio/non-bio) and circuit architectures. He has worked in academia and industry for over 18 years across several institutes in Asia and Europe. During this time, he has developed a highly multidisciplinary skill set working at the intersection of Integrated Circuit Design for Biosensors, and 2.5D/3D packaging for high speed computing systems.
