Technical Webinar – Cyber Security: Threats, Needs and Opportunities
Often, we read incidences of cybersecurity attacks in the newspapers, and experienced crashes on computers or mobile phones, these hint that there could be security threats around us. This talk will cover some basic understandings of cyber security threats and landscape in cyber security. Followed by some thoughts on how to protect ourselves and possibly identifying opportunities out of cyber security.
Dr. Stephen P.S. Lam received his Bachelor and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Birmingham, in the UK. He is an accredited IET Fellow. He taught in B.Sc. and M.Sc. classes in the subject of computing, networking and technology management in the U.K.. He published 20+ articles and supervised three Ph.D. students. He has done a lot of mentorship internally and externally. He was on the review panels for research grant applications in Hong Kong. He continues to acquire new skills while taking on various business and engineering positions covering microelectronics, intelligent systems, security, etc..
