Western Rail Link to Heathrow is a major national railway infrastructure project. It will introduce a service of 4 trains per hour between Reading and Paddington via Heathrow Terminal 5. The service will run in a new twin bore tunnel from Langley station. The project will improve transport links from the west and reduce congestion, especially at Paddington and in the Heathrow area. The presentation describes the project scope, timeline and engineering highlights. The project is currently awaiting Development Consent with construction work expected to start in 2022.
