Will Solid State Battery powered electric vehicles go further, drive safely and charge faster?

Lithium-ion technology powers the growing number of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) on our roads today.  It’s reliable and works well, but vehicle ranges still don’t compare favourably to their internal combustion engine (ICE) counterparts, and recharging can take many hours.

In this talk, we consider whether the latest solid-state battery technology could address some of these issues.  Covering the different types of electric vehicles and their specific battery performance requirements, our speaker will explain the development of solid-state batteries, and the prospects and challenges of solid-state batteries for electric vehicles and other applications.
