Working In The Energy Industry

ABSTRACT:

Global energy demands are expected to increase by 35% in the next two decades, due to an increase in population and the economic growth of developing countries. The continued need for energy has never been greater as has the threat on climate change. The Paris Agreement marked a historic turning point for global climate action with 195 nations, focusing towards substantially reducing global greenhouse gas emissions. International Oil Companies are now in the process of transitioning to “net zero” with the adoption of renewables and eventually turning into International Energy Companies. In this talk, I will be focusing on my experience working in the Oil & Gas sector from a perspective of production and operations. Furthermore, I will be sharing my experience working on Clair Ridge, an offshore drilling and production oil platform. I will also touch on the transition to net zero.
