Representatives of the CONTACT (Connected Transport Local Authority Coordination Team) group have come together to create a specialist MaaS training event to help local authorities understand ‘the nuts and bolts’ of how MaaS (Mobility as a Service) can be implemented in their area.
This event has been made possible through sponsorship from Innovate UK and Jacobs Engineering Group. It will take place on 27 March 2019 at Jacobs’ Birmingham office, from 09:30 – 16:00.
There will be multiple workshops covering different topics and elements of MaaS, where facilitators will be on hand to discuss their experiences — both good and bad — to help attendees better understand the practical processes of MaaS.
The topics that will be covered include:
- Governance and contractual
- Economics and business models
- Safety, behaviour and social factors
This event is aimed at the employees on the ground that would be part of the implementation of MaaS.
The event is free to attend, but there are a limited number of places available.
The CONTACT group representatives include the IET, the International Connected Autonomous Vehicles Cluster (ICAV), Innovate UK, the Knowledge Transfer Network, ITS (UK) and the Transport Data Initiative (TDI).
