Swindon19-15, Mind The Gap: Reducing attack surfaces from evolving threats - Cyber Security
This presentation will highlight a range of context security in the form of protective, detective, and defensive controls which can be put in place, in order to close any capability gaps that may exist and proactively detect, defend and deter threats.
Organisations are struggling to keep up with the capability gaps in both resources and technology required to adapt to the ever-evolving threat landscape.
This presentation will put together the context, content and processes required to proactively defend, deter and respond to such incoming threats accordingly. Attendees will go away with a clear understanding of some of the current and future risks, with a cyber hygiene approach which includes clear proactive steps for prediction, prevention, detection, and response that can form part of your strategy.
Finally, Erhan will share experiences of dealing with targeted attacks, such as those relating to botnets and highlight the implications for organisations that are extending their IT enterprise to incorporate IoT. You will learn about how your organisation might represent part of the threat landscape, and what you can do to protect against this.
