THINK BIG Future Health & Life Science Unconference

An cross-sector event enabling future leaders to listen, pitch and deliver sessions all in one day

The world is entering a new era in the field of medicine. In the decades to come, the life science sector is estimated to develop a wide array of cell, gene and other advanced therapeutic modalities which promise to cure deadly diseases that at present lack any form of effective treatment.

Developments in AI, cognitive robotics, blockchain and health IoT also provide scope for significant changes in the industry - from early diagnosis and prevention, through more sophisticated R&D and manufacturing, to completely virtual nursing assistance. Such developments lead to increased costs which means we need to redesign healthcare pathways to ensure the benefits reach all patients and are affordable to implement at scale. There are numerous challenges which must be solved beforehand if we are to realise the full potential that this digital transformation can bring.

The Think BIG Future Health & Life Science Unconference will bring engineers together with clinicians, senior/middle managers, healthcare industry professionals, patients and non-industry stakeholders to promote greater multi-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary engagement through a full-day programme of “organised serendipity”.

The Unconference will be an international open space forum that supports and energises the movement for healthcare improvement and defines the future of the sector collaboratively. Collectively we hope to leverage the shared concern and passion for improving quality, safety and outcomes of healthcare leaders and practitioners, by linking them with cross-industry experts who share their sentiments and interests. Participants will examine how we can boost innovation and develop the sector by debating the challenges, opportunities and trends of the different areas that most interest the audience.
