British High Commission - NZ-UK science and innovation opportunities
Hybrid event supported by IET Wellington & South Island Network
About
Join Engineering New Zealand and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET UK) for a presentation by James Araci, the British High Commission in Wellington’s Lead Adviser for Science and Innovation. James will talk on what his role entails along with the opportunities for collaboration between New Zealand and United Kingdom businesses.
With the recent UK-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement and the 2022 UK-New Zealand Research, Science & Innovation Arrangement, alongside the opportunities available to both countries through the Horizon Europe programme there has never been a better time for collaboration between our two countries in science, technology and engineering.
The first part of the presentation will focus on James’s role within the British High commission and what it entails.
The second part of the presentation will focus on some of the interesting and fascinating opportunities James has been involved with to date. This will include an overview of the Horizon Europe Programme and how that could benefit both New Zealand and United Kingdom Science, technology and engineering businesses.
This presentation is available both online and in person at Engineering New Zealand’s Wellington offices and will be starting at 5:30pm.
