About

Lecturer:

Dr. Constantinos Panagiotou (male) leads the sector of disaster risk reduction of water hazards in ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence. H received the B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Physics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, GR (2009), and the Ph.D degree in Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing from the University of Cyprus, CY (2016). He has participated in 12 funded projects (national and international), being PI in one Horizon 2020 (PRIMA) project, called AGREEMAR, Project Manager in a WaterJPI project (SMART-CONTROL). He is the coleader of the working group in the International Association of Hydrologists with title “Feasibility of Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR)”. He has (co)authored 45 journal/conference publications (22 as first author), and has received personal grants from distinguished organizations (i.e., CTR-NASA Summer program, Fullbright). His research interests focus on the application of multivariate statistical methods in decision-making approaches to optimize water resources management: Keywords: water resources, risk management, geostatistics, machine learning, copulas, uncertainty analysis, quantitative microbial risk assessment.
