AI: What are the ethics?
IET Bucks LN Local:SKILLS - Thames Valley Athletics Centre, WINDSOR
About
IET Bucks are delighted that Michael Wilcockson has agreed to give anotehr of his stimulating and thought-provoking workshops. This time he is breaking new ground and looking at the ethics and morality of AI. The increasing use of AI for non-repeative-roles is causing Alan Turing's famous definition of consciousness to be sorely tested.
Michael Wilcockson studied Theology at Balliol College, Oxford. After completing his PGCE at Pembroke College, Cambridge he went into full-time teaching and retired from his post as Head of Philosophy at Eton College in 2018. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors.
Michael was ordained priest in June 2019 and is Associate Priest in the Linton Parishes (Cambridgeshire) and is also Rural Dean of the Granta Deanery. He continues to work for several public exam boards and is also a part-time Army chaplain to the Cambridge Army Cadet Force.
