About

This online colloquium brings together antennas and propagation scientists, engineers, technologists and the applications community to enhance their understanding from experts in their field.

Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces for Communication, Sensing and Computing
Dr Mohsen Khalily, Associate Professor at 5G&6G Innovation Centres, University of Surrey.

Wideband High Efficiency Electromagnetic Structure Antenna
Prof Yihong Qi, President and Chief Scientist at General Test Systems, Inc., Canada/US.

Wideband High Efficiecy Electromagnetic Structure (WHEMS) based antennas are introduced in this talk. A typical application of wire array antenna is presented. This WHEMS antenna features single feeding, light weight, rugged design, and low wind load, which are typical for Yagi antennas, the distictive of this WHEMS antenna is 78% bandwidth with high gain, low back lobes over the wideband. Various applications are also discuused in the talk.

This webinar will be moderated by Professor Tian Hong Loh, Principal Scientist, National Physical Laboratory (NPL).
