His presentation will explore some of the science behind Anti-Submarine Acoustic Warfare, the operating environment, threat detection, sensors and systems used to detect, identify and track the ‘silent service’.

Our speaker Rhys Littlejohn is currently working as a Project Manager at QinetiQ. Rhys has previously served in the Royal Air Force, initially as an Anti-Submarine Operator and latterly Chief Acoustics Instructor.

This event has been oraginsed by the Linclnshire Engineers Panel, a joint venture between the IET and IMechE.

 

This event will take place in the Sir Isaac Newton Building.
