Scope
Delivering effective healthcare in low-resource settings faces numerous challenges, including limited financial resources, inadequate infrastructure, insufficiently trained staff, lack of essential equipment and spare parts, inappropriate equipment donations, high levels of out-of-service equipment, and unreliable power and water supplies. Political instability and conflict further exacerbate these issues.
AHT2024 aims to discuss and highlight technological innovations that can address these challenges. The emphasis should be on Innovation, Design, and Engineering. We welcome case studies, especially those highlighting significant challenges or failures, as they can provide valuable lessons for future projects.

Webinar participation
Presentations will be delivered across three webinars, each scheduled to accommodate attendees from Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Attendees are welcome to join all three webinars as each will feature different content.

Email your abstract to Lynsay Callaghan lcallaghan@theiet.org by 5pm (UTC+1) Wednesday 14th August 2024. Abstracts received after this date cannot be accepted.
Authors will be notified of their success by 5pm (UTC+1) 6 September 2024.
If your abstract is accepted, you will then be invited to submit a short video presentation. We will record these on Zoom during September and October 2024.
Presenters will be invited to attend one of the three live webinar session where the videos will be playing and then a question and answer session will be hosted on Tuesday 19th November (times 08.00 GMT, 12.30 GMT or 18.00 GMT)
