“Intelligent and Sustainable Transformation in Mechanical Engineering and Technology”
ICoMSETA 2026 embraces a hybrid format, allowing participants from across the globe to engage either in person or virtually, making this a truly inclusive and far-reaching event. We are delighted to bring together a diverse community of academics, researchers, engineers, scientists, and industry experts to share insights, innovations, and solutions addressing the challenges and opportunities within mechanical engineering and technology. This conference aims to serve as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration and inspiration, featuring thought-provoking keynote sessions, paper presentations, and interactive discussions. Whether you are an experienced professional or an emerging researcher, ICoMSETA 2026 offers you the opportunity to broaden your perspectives, build valuable networks, and contribute to shaping a more sustainable technological future. There are three main tracks to be offered by ICOMSETA 2026; Design, Mechanics and Advanced Materials; Manufacturing, Industrial and Intelligent Systems; and Energy, Automotive , and Sustainable Technologies.

Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr.-Ing. Yupiter HP Manurung CEng IMechE, IWE/EWE/SFI, VDI, MIEM, PSE
Full Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Malaysia
Professor Yupiter HP Manurung CEng IMechE, IWE/EWE/SFI, VDI, MIEM, PSE is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Malaysia. He completed his entire education at German universities, earning his A-Level, BSc, MSc, and PhD in Manufacturing Technology and holds numerous professional credentials and specialized certifications. He founded and served as Director of UiTM's Smart Manufacturing Research Institute (SMRI) from 2019 to 2023 and currently holds the position of Principal Fellow. His research focuses on Advanced Welding Technology, Virtual Manufacturing, Metal Additive Manufacturing and Weld Fatigue Integrity supported by national and international grants including E-Science, FRGS, DAAD, Erasmus+, ASEA-UNINET, Leading House and various industries. He has supervised bachelor's and postgraduate students including international candidates from Southeast Asia and Europe. He has published book, journals and proceedings with research partners from Germany, Austria, Tunisia, Cyprus, Indonesia and Ukraine. Professor Manurung also serves as External Examiner for the Bachelor of Technology in Welding at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) and Academic Advisor for the Diploma in Engineering Technology in Underwater Welding at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Space. He examines postgraduate theses and dissertations from institutions worldwide, reviews international scientific journals and evaluates local and international research grants from France, the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia. Since 2016, he has held an international research fellowship at the Professorship of Virtual Production Engineering at Chemnitz University of Technology in Germany.
