Community Service Visit at Crossroads Village
Organized by YESS of Younger Members Section of the IET Hong Kong
About
Crossroads Foundation is a Hong Kong-based, non-profit organisation addressing global needs. Its mission is to serve as a ‘crossroads’ in our fractured world, connecting those in need with individuals and groups able to provide assistance.
To ensure a meaningful and productive experience for participants, general volunteering services are recommended for groups of approximately 10 delegates. Volunteers will be divided across different departments handling donated goods. Tasks may include sorting and packing donated goods (the primary work in processing departments such as toys, household items, clothing, and books), organizing collection drives for needed items, renovation work (including painting, gardening, landscaping, and maintenance), and heavier tasks like preparing furniture for shipments, loading containers, or unloading trucks—typically within shipping and furniture departments.
