CorPower Ocean – the industry leader in wave energy – is on a mission to power the planet with clean electricity from ocean waves. Wave energy represents one of the largest untapped sources of clean energy, currently amounting to a potential of 500-1800GW, more than all of today’s hydro or nuclear capacity. Wave energy can help bring stability to the clean energy mix, enabling 24/7 carbon free electricity at a lower cost, helping the world to leave fossil fuels behind. 

CorPower’s fourth generation wave energy system, the commercial-scale CorPower C4, has delivered breakthrough results in grid-connected operation in northern Portugal. Having proven storm survival and efficient production in regular sea conditions, the two key challenges that have historically held back wave energy adoption, CorPower has entered the commercial stage towards a type-certified and bankable technology offering, with a growing project pipeline. CorPower is currently  working on scaling up to the first 20MW deployment over two sites in Portugal and Scotland.
