In this talk, Gary Venning will discuss the following topics in his role as a RNLI Lifeboat surveyor.

In his role as Principal surveyor for the RNLI, Gary is responsible for the three Channel Island lifeboat stations in Alderney, Guernsey and Jersey along with leading a team of 15 surveyors around the UK and Ireland maintain the RNLI lifeboat fleet and other associated assets.

Gary has an extensive career in the world of boat building having worked for around 20 years building composite racing yachts and multihulls around the world.  He then joined the RNLI as a surveyor for 14 years, before becoming the Principal surveyor for the last 7 years.

For Jersey lectures, we have started a new way of presenting and this will be at the Ouless Room at the Jersey Museum. The doors will open at 5:00pm for a 5:30pm start, with complimentary tea and coffee on arrival. We have limited capacity so if you wish to attend the lecture free bookings can be made via Eventbrite.
