About

The event will focus on awareness of technologies that are not yet fully developed but could have a significant impact when they are. Examples include future networking technologies, probably beyond 5G, that will enable integration of process lines, machine diagnostics and optimisation, etc.  We will describe the underlying science, the status of use in respective automation technologies, and the benefits to be obtained when these technologies are applied.

Speaker 1

Nikki Gonzales was born in Iceland.  After graduating from the University of Texas she started her career as a sales engineer in machine vision and mechatronics where she spent 10 years in the field implementing and supporting automation solutions in a variety of industries. She then transitioned to the design side of engineering with multi-physics simulation for virtual prototyping, and later jumped into the world of tech startups applying big data and AI to the supply chain for accurate forecasting and inventory optimization. Today she is Head of Partnerships at Quotebeam - a procurement and workflow automation platform for the industrial automation community. She also serves as a member of the board of directors of Process & Controls Engineering LLC and as an advisor to various startups in the industrial tech space.
