From black and white to Ultra HD and beyond, the evolution of the visual experience

Since the practical implementation of the first TV service, there has been a focus on improving the visual experience from the first technology and service demonstrators, through the launch of regular services, the introduction of colour, the analogue to digital transition, the move to HD and now with the regular availability of Ultra HD services.

Bringing together key experts in video, we shall discuss the evolution of video quality, what visual quality is and where it is going in the future.
