From school to racetrack in the kit car we built.

This is the story from the initial project concept, the build of a car and a track day at Goodwood.

About

The girls at St Catherine's school have partnered with Westfield Chesil to inspire the next generation of engineers by building a kit car.

This collaboration has been going for over two years, and the first car is almost ready for an IVA test to make it road-legal.

Our goal is to help students explore various types of engineering, sparking their curiosity and making science and problem-solving feel like natural parts of their everyday life.

Through projects like this, we aim to spark an interest in engineering and encourage our STEM students to consider careers in this field at university level and beyond. By sharing our excitement for engineering, we can motivate students to engage more deeply.  You don't need to be an engineer yourself - simply being curious and willing to learn with them can be equally inspiring.  Book your place now !
