Dr. Morenike Magbagbeola
Morenike Magbagbeola is a robotics and systems engineer specialising in the deployment of autonomous systems in safety-critical environments. She has delivered robotics solutions across the energy, healthcare, and mobility sectors, with experience ranging from inspection robotics at bp to developing AI-enabled surgical platforms at University College London, and currently works on embodied AI systems at Wayve in the autonomous vehicle space. Her expertise spans sensor fusion, autonomous control, and human-robot interaction, with award-winning research in neuroprosthetics, organ perfusion, and environmental hazard monitoring. With a PhD in adaptive sensory robotics, Morenike is particularly focused on cross-sector knowledge transfer—designing intelligent, scalable robotic systems that can operate across domains, from hazardous industrial sites to medical applications.
She holds an honorary research position at UCL, where she also leads STEM outreach and inclusion initiatives. Morenike advocates for translational robotics and strong academic–industry pipelines to accelerate innovation in real-world robotics applications.
Dr. James Kell
Dr. James Kell is a leading robotics and engineering figure in the UK, currently serving as the Robotics Technical Director at amentum. He specializes in the development of advanced robotic and remote handling systems to extend the life and safety of critical infrastructure across sectors including nuclear, water, and defence. Previously, he held a senior engineering role at Rolls-Royce, where he led award-winning in-situ technology initiatives in collaboration with the University of Nottingham.
Dr. Kell is a Visiting Professor at the University of Nottingham, where he enhances engineering education through hands-on aerospace seminars. He also serves on the UK Government’s Robotics Growth Partnership advisory board, helping shape national strategy in robotics and automation. His work is internationally recognized, with collaborative projects spanning the UK, US, and Japan.
Dr. Jelizaveta Konstantinova
Dr. Liza Konstantinova is a Lead Research Engineering Manager at Ocado Technology. She develops and manages research and innovation activities in collaboration with academic and industrial partners, focusing on intelligent robotic manipulation working on the challenges for the logistics and grocery fulfilment. She is leading Ocado Technologies involvement for several collaborative research and projects, externally funded by Horizon Europe and Advanced Research and Invention Agency.
She holds a PhD in robotics from King’s College London, with expertise in medical robotics, tactile perception, soft robotics, and intelligent manipulation. Her research interests include intelligent perception methods, human-inspired manipulation, tactile sensing, modular machine learning for control, gripper design, benchmarking for industrial applications, and trustworthy robotic systems. Jelizaveta is passionate about bridging cutting-edge robotics research with real-world industrial applications, especially for societal and environmental benefit.
