This presentation will highlight how AI can be used by law enforcement authorities to support their daily work, by efficiently harnessing large amount of data obtained from different sources. We show how AI can help in identifying and preventing crimes through a data-driven approach to criminal investigation. Finally we will touch upon some of challenges of AI application in this context in terms of reliability and ethical use.
