This lecture tells the compelling story of Loewy Engineering, set up by an engineer who fled from the Nazis, and brought the crucial light-metals technology from Germany to Britain in 1936. This new firm played a key role in wartime aircraft and naval vessel production.
Ludwig Loewy was celebrated as an engineer.
