About

Presentation 1:

Engineering and Technology in the age of AI - delivering intentional leadership

Synopsis:
With the advent of AI engineering systems and services are getting more complex. While the upside is increased efficiency, the downside is that engineering professionals may be more easily overwhelmed and stretched. From the complexity of processes to demands of different stakeholders to social differences and conflicts, many professionals are at risk for stress and burnout. Dr Kong will shared about intentional leadership - how it allows person to implement and accomplish almost all objectives without compromising own health and sanity. This lecture will also address some pro-and-cons of current and emerging technologies that drive improved mental health.

Presentation 2:

Engineering Leadership through Systems Thinking Habits

Synopsis:
In engineering and technology, complex challenges are rarely caused by technical gaps alone. More often, the unseen mental models of leaders shape the very problems that manifest in their teams and organizations. When assumptions, beliefs, or values go unexamined, even well-intended decisions can create unintended consequences. Dr Goh will share on how professionals can uncover and reshape their mental models through the ACA approach (Awareness, Choices, Accountability) and introduce systems thinking habits, a practical tools to expand perspectives, identify hidden patterns, and find leverage points for lasting impact.
