SLF (Schneee und Lavinen Forschung) is a world-renowned research institute in its field. It conducts solution-oriented research on natural hazards, mountain ecosystems, and snow and ice in a changing world and offers various services, for example the avalanche bulletin.
Welcome to Davos! A technical visit to the Snow and Avalanche Institute on the Friday early evening, followed by evening meal in a local restaurant. For those staying overnight we have two Saturday options - either a lecture and tour looking at the latest technical innovations of the highest brewery in Switzerland in Monstein - or golf at the course in Alveneu, about 40 minutes by car from Davos

2 - Friday 2 October 20:20 - Evening meal - venue and exact timing to be decided depending on the number of participants

4a- Saturday 3 October 12:30 - Technical visit to the brewery In the mountain village of Monstein - Hauptstrasse 36, 7278 Davos Monstein http://biervision-monstein.ch. Bus number 310&301 from Davos Platz station. A special sausage, ham and cheese lunchplate costs 34 CHF per person.
4b - Saturday 3 October - Golf Alveneu - Albulastrasse 174, 7473 Alvaneu-Bad, Call them on +41814041007 to reserve. 9 holes tee time about 11:30 for CHF 70 if you have active membership of a golf club; CHF105 if you have a Green Card/Platzreife but no active membership.
