7:07pm - 9:02pm

About

The Electricity at Work Regulations call out a number of hazards that could cause injury or death when working around electricity. Some, like electric shock, are generally well understood and managed, but can the same be said about electrical arc flash? How well is this hazard understood, recognised and managed in electrical equipment operational throughout industry? This event will cover the basics of what the electrical arc hazard is, where it might be encountered, how it can be risk assessed and how control measures can be used to manage the risk. We’ll share examples of arc flash incidents that have occurred in local industry and discuss how the arc flash hazard can be managed.”
