Lecturer Recruitment - Industry Insights Lecture Series

About
Objective:
To offer students diverse perspectives from various industries, foster cross-disciplinary learning, and enhance the organizer’s (and guest speakers’) lecturing experience through a collaborative, rotational guest speaker format. This is also to build out the junior speakers pipeline to support future IET HK activities which may include, but not limited to, MOU partnership events.
Target Audience:
· Undergraduate and postgraduate students in engineering, technology, and related disciplines.
· Young professionals considering a career transition or further studies.
Format
· Series of bi-weekly/monthly seminar-style talks.
· Each session is led by a different junior professional speaker from a distinct industry (e.g., tech, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, sustainability).
· Talks are interactive (Q&A or mini-panel).
· Organizer will host the introduction, conclusion, and moderate panel/Q&A.
· Rotation allows the time commitment to be distributed across all speakers.

Programme
1. Program Structure
· Duration: 6–8 sessions, spaced monthly or biweekly (e.g., over 10 months).
· Session Length: 45–60 minutes per session.
· Location: IET Hong Kong office

3. Junior Lecturer Rotation & Recruitment
· Invite junior professionals (5–15 years’ experience) from different industries with engaging stories or expertise. Interview might be conducted.
· Each speaker presents once; the organizer leads, introduces, and moderates sessions
· Support potential upcoming MOU partnership activities
