Insightful Simulation: Blind X-perience and AIDS X-perience

Insightful Simulation: Blind X-perience and AIDS X-perience are half-day programs hosted by Crossroads Foundation HONG KONG, which is a non-profit organization serving global needs. Their goal is to be a 'crossroads' in a broken world, connecting people in need with those who can help. Their initiatives address poverty, hunger, and disaster relief, while also offering vocational training and educational programs.
As volunteers, we often strive to help others, but it is equally important to understand their needs through firsthand experience. Instead of watching videos or listening to presentations, participants are invited to step into the shoes of people in need.

This half-day program contains the following parts:
1.)    Blind X-perience:
Participants are led through an African village, in total darkness, by guides who are themselves blind. Without sight, participants will learn to navigate using sound, touch, and scent and are invited to experience the creativity and extraordinary capabilities of the visually impaired.

2.)    AIDS X-perience:
Participants walk through the lives of individuals who have come into contact with HIV/AIDS and, at the end, are 'tested' to see if they are positive. They live, in a simulated way, the realities of war, poverty, poor medical care, abusive treatment, and wrong life choices. 

Remark: Kindly note that this event is self-financed and a final confirmation with participants will be made in early June. Upon confirmation, payment is required regardless of attendance on the day due to any changed plans, etc.
