About

The latest version of IEC 61511-1 (2016) includes clause 8.2.4, which mandates a security risk assessment for Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS). Other standards create similar relationships, such as IEC 61508 for functional safety and its reference to IEC 62443.

Traditionally treated as separate domains, safety and cybersecurity are intricately linked in Operational Technology (OT). Collaboration among asset owners, OT professionals, and various stakeholders is crucial for effective implementation, fostering unity and leadership.

This webinar explores integrating safety and cybersecurity lifecycles, emphasizing the importance of understanding each discipline's unique contributions in securing Cyber-Physical Systems.
