International Conference on Railway Engineering 2026
Day 2 including Technical Visit: Wong Chuk Hang Depot
About
ICRE 2026 is organised by the Railway and Transport Section of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Hong Kong.
The ICRE is held in Hong Kong every three years with the objective to provide a forum for sharing knowledge and experience; promoting collaboration among practitioners; as well as reviewing recent development and applications of modern technologies in railway engineering. The ICRE has also been held in other locations outside Hong Kong. ICRE 2016 was held in Belgium, while ICRE 2018 was held in London. The last ICRE, held in 2023, was a unique "One Conference, Two Cities" event, featuring sessions in both Hong Kong and Taiwan. It attracted attendance of more than 120 professionals and engineering leaders.
The conference series gathers global railway professionals, academics, system suppliers, and operators to discuss advances in railway engineering, transport technology, and industry trends.
