About

As digital transformation accelerates, Ireland stands at the forefront of telecom advancements, with ambitious government targets for nationwide gigabit broadband and a robust rollout of 5G, alongside enhanced submarine cable connectivity linking us globally.

We’ll discuss how these developments support the expanding network demands of data centres, the cloud, and a vast ecosystem of digital applications - from cashless payments and point-of-sale systems to OTT video, social media, eHealth, and digital education. As these services rely increasingly on Ireland’s telecom infrastructure, questions about reliability and resilience are more pressing than ever. Looking ahead, we’ll examine how Ireland can strengthen this backbone, ensuring it can meet the demands of both home and work life with security, resilience, and capacity to drive Ireland’s role in the global digital economy.

Join us as we navigate the exciting journey of Ireland’s telecoms sector and its pivotal role in the digital age.

Speaker: Patrick Kidney: Partner, Analysys Mason
