Lecture on Engineering the Future of Biomanufacturing & Annual General Meeting 2025 hosted by IET Singapore Network

About

Topic: Engineering the Future of Biomanufacturing - Harnessing Computational Modelling and AI for Digital Transformation and Impact

Synopsis:
Biomanufacturing sits at the intersection of biology and engineering, yet its processes remain complex, variable, and resource-intensive. In this lecture, Dr Pang will share how engineering principles that combined with the power of artificial intelligence and modelling, that can transform biomanufacturing into a digital, data-driven industry; from modeling cell metabolism, to computational fluid dynamics and predictive control. He will illustrate how digital approaches can unlock efficiency, scalability, and innovation across various biotherapeutics. Beyond research, he will also discuss the journey of translating these technologies into real-world impact through entrepreneurship.
