About
Keolis Amey Metrolink is a joint venture that manages and operates the tram system. They operate and maintain a fleet of 147 Bombardier M5000 trams, the first of which were introduced in 2009. Metrolink is the biggest light rail system in the country. It uses 2 depots, one at Old Trafford and the original depot at Queens Road.
This visit is an opportunity to see how the Trafford depot is operated and to learn how the high reliability of the fleet is achieved.

Meet on the Altrincham bound platform (adjacent to the Depot) of the Old Trafford Tram stop. We will leave there at 12:55 and make our way to the Depot together.
