Microwave Applications in Healthcare Technologies
Hosted by IET Bristol
About
This talk summarises work carried out over the last 10-15 years at Cardiff University on the use of microwaves at low powers for health monitoring (e.g. non-invasive blood glucose sensing) and at high powers for disease diagnosis (e.g. rapid release and detection of target DNA). Central to these technologies are microwave resonators, offering the dual, beneficial roles of high sensitivity for diagnosis and very efficient power transfer.
