Pioneering the Skies: Leveraging Advanced Air Mobility for Low-altitude Economy Planning in Hong Kong
Organized by Railway Transport Section (RTS) Committee
About
Following the Chief Executive’s 2025 Policy Address, Hong Kong is poised to be positioned as an Asia-Pacific hub for innovative low-altitude applications. The Low-Altitude Economy (LAE) presents a transformative opportunity for Hong Kong to revolutionize urban mobility and strengthen Greater Bay Area (GBA) cross-border connectivity. This 1-hour webinar explores how Hong Kong can develop LAE by leveraging Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) technologies and infrastructure development through strategic planning and insights from global best practices.
Electric Vertical Take-off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft, as one of the key elements of AAM, offer sustainable solutions to Hong Kong's transportation challenges while enhancing accessibility and connectivity locally and regionally within the GBA. The presentation addresses critical infrastructure considerations, including the challenges of vertiport placement in Hong Kong's dense urban environment, regulatory frameworks and safety standards essential for supporting AAM operations.
