Speakers

Andrew McHarrie BSc (Hons), CEng, FIET, MIAM

Principal Consultant at EA Technology

Andrew McHarrie is a Principal Consultant with a breadth of knowledge and experience in the electrical utility sector specialising in Asset Management and Overhead Lines with a proven track record of managing businesses and project. He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (CEng, FIET). 


Andrew has over 40 years’ experience in the electrical utility sector and currently holds the position of Head of Asset Management and Power System Studies at EA Technology Ltd. He has actively been involved in the assessment of many organisation’s Asset Management Systems.

Mark Sprawson

Director of Consultancy Insights at EA Technology

Mark Sprawson is an internationally recognised thought leader in the drive towards lower emission, lower cost and higher security electricity networks. He has spent 15 years in the UK electricity industry, joining EA Technology in 2009 from roles in United Utilities (a DNO). He is the Director of EA Technology’s Strategy & Interventions business. 


Mark has pioneered some of the work in techno-economic modelling; demonstrating the value of innovation in a fast-changing world. He has played a key role in delivering flagship projects, such as Open Networks (through Energy Networks Association) and also in designing and securing funding for projects within the Low Carbon Network Fund (My Electric Avenue) and Network Innovation Competition (Open LV). Furthermore, Mark has a wealth of international experience having recently carried out projects in Australia, Brazil and New Zealand looking at transferring key UK learning to different contexts.
