About

With increased demand for online learning we have created a course for those interested in becoming Professional Registered.

Professional Registration can enhance you career prospects by recognising your skills and experience and demonstrating your commitment to professionalism. These professional qualifications are peer assessed and internationally recognised. The IET is licensed by the Engineering Council to assess applicants and award the following titles CEng, IEng, EngTech and ICTTech.

This 5.5 hour course has been designed over two days and will take you through the requirements of UK-SPEC and the process of preparing and submitting an application for Professional Registration. You will learn how to plan, record and review your professional development as you progress towards registration, including how to assess your skills level against the relevant framework and how those supporting you can help along the way. In your homework you will be able to assess your work experience against the set competences in the UKSPEC ready to share with the group the following day, the homework should take approx.1 hour.

After the course a one to one discussion will be arranged to speak with a Professional Registrations Advisor (PRA) usually within 14 days. Professional Registration Advisors are members with detailed knowledge of the requirements and routes to Professional Registration. A PRA will also be able to help you with the presentation aspects of making a formal application and will offer constructive feedback on your readiness and provide specialist advice. This is a free service with your membership at the IET.

This course is designed for anyone looking to become professionally registered with the IET.
