RMS - SKYNET

Skynet is the UK military communications satellite system linking British forces throughout the world. Our speaker, Keith Bagot, was the project manager for the research establishment support to MoD for Skynet 4D, 4E & 4F each of which had problems. The lecture will cover these and personal experiences of launches & operations.

Keith worked on many space projects at the Royal Aircraft Establishment (now QinetiQ), Comsat (USA and ESA). His final project was Skynet.
